I am pleased to endorse the Honorable David Eby both as the representative for the Point Grey riding – my own constituency- and as Premier of the Province of BC for a second term. I have followed his political career since his being elected in 2013. On a personal level, I have been impressed by his support for our initiative of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in the field of Medical Education and its ultimate goal of improved health for the under-represented segments of our population and by his support of UNDRIP.

As a socially-aware lawyer, he is steeped with a history of committed work for the benefit of the ordinary citizens of our society.

He has instituted policies for housing affordability for the middle and lower classes (the rental protection fund and increased housing density zoning, partial government mortgage underwriting), for environmental sustainability, for better access to and increased funding for education at all levels. As leader, he is pursuing thoughtful and meaningful ongoing work-in-progress policies to address the many challenges facing our province - including public transportation, health care, public safety, and a minimum living wage. The recent investment announced in trade schools exemplifies his commitment to create the infrastructure needed to grow the BC economy.

I wholeheartedly endorse David Eby to continue his tireless leadership in these many areas and encourage you to vote to continue to build a stronger vibrant province with a brighter future.
