As one who has worked in film and television for many years, I am pleased that David Eby understands the importance of this labour-intensive industry as a key part of BC’s economy.

I volunteered with the West Point Grey Community Centre for many years and saw first-hand how committed David was to supporting and advocating for the local community. David and his family have lived in our neighbourhood for many years, he understands the priorities of community here, and he’s been completely accessible during his current time as MLA. As a long time West Point Grey resident, I enthusiastically support David for his re-election as Vancouver-Point Grey MLA.

I have great confidence that David Eby will continue to be a strong advocate for the residents of Vancouver – Point Grey. Be it affordable housing or an overall health and well being of our community, David is an engaged, committed and passionate voice that represents us all very well.

I’ve known David for a few years now, and not only is he a super nice guy, but it seems like every time I open the paper, turn on the radio, or put on the news, I see him pushing the government hard to do something to combat rising home prices in Vancouver. It shows persistence and commitment to the issues that matter to us that most leaders could only dream of.

I have been active in the University Endowment Lands community for quite a few years. The provincial government is important to residents of the UEL because the province is in effect our only local government. David Eby is a great MLA and by far the best we have had for a long time. David is very accessible and most importantly takes the time to understand the issues in the community. He does a great job representing his constituents to both the bureaucracy and politicians in Victoria. I fully support his re-election for Vancouver-Point Grey.

David Eby has worked hard for our community and shown strong leadership on critical issues like defending our coast and developing leading climate policy. I trust David to put forward practical solutions and get things done.

We have been in business in Point Grey for almost 3 years now. David is always actively involved in our community matters, regardless of how big or small the matter is. From saving the little Australia Park in UEL, Jericho Lands development, to annual Point Grey Fiesta — to name a few. He and his team have also hosted various coffee meets to meet the public and listen to their concerns. David plays a big part in our community and supports local businesses in our area.We support David for his re-election as our local MLA.

David Eby has been a long-time customer at Zulu Records and a champion for small independent businesses in Kitsilano and Point Grey. We know him as a real music aficionado, and a great supporter of Vancouver’s arts and culture industries. David is vital to our community and we are grateful to have an MLA that is so present and understands that a thriving music and arts ecology enhances the entire wellbeing of the community.

David is a strong and constant advocate for a high quality, well-funded public education system. As a parent with two daughters attending Bayview and General Gordon Elementary schools, his work in the legislature advocating for seismic upgrades has been very important for our family. I am proud to support his re-election campaign.

When we’ve had concerns about school maintenance and seismic safety, David Eby has visited my children’s school and spoken about it in the Legislature. He’s met many times with parents and has served as a dedicated and proactive advocate. I can’t imagine a better representative for our neighbourhood.

From affordable housing to a community potluck, David Eby is there, engaged and committed. David Eby is a man of action. I fully support his re-election.

David is not only a customer of our shop, he is an active member of our community. He has a family and looks forward to where his children will grow up, as do I. The first time we met he had his newborn on his lap while making a presentation at a local business meeting. He was advocating for a new building that would help create a stronger community. What struck me was that he really cares about the neighbourhood and the people who live and work in it. He wants affordable housing. He wants local businesses to thrive and had solid ideas for how to deal with all the empty houses and the problems they create. We have a 30 year old family wine shop and he stood up for us during the recent changes to the liquor laws. He understood how those changes harmed our business and he publicly advocated for our industry. Those are just some of the reasons why he definitely has my vote!

David has been a tremendous ally and advocate for working people in this province. I have always appreciated his efforts to make himself available to discuss the many challenges our members face on a daily basis. It’s great to have an MLA who understands the complicated nature of UBC — whether it be governance, pedagogy or operational services, he’s familiar with institution and takes the time to find the answers.

CUPE 2950 (1500+ clerical, library and theatre workers at the UBC) is proud to support David in his bid for re-election as our MLA for Vancouver-Point Grey.

The thing that stands out to me the most about David Eby is the way he gets to know, collaborates with, and advocates for both individuals and organizations in his local community — from Kits to UBC to the whole city of Vancouver.  I have known Dave personally for about four years, and was familiar with his work in the city (particularly Pivot Legal Society) for years before that. What is most impressive about Dave is that as an elected official he truly fulfills his role of public servant in a way that not many government officials are able to achieve. He listens carefully to, and serves the public. Attending his community events are evidence of his good work, as many different faces from all walks of life gather who have been positively impacted by, and therefore stand in support of Dave. Thanks Dave and incredible staff team for the way you listen to, serve, collaborate with, and advocate for Vancouver-Point Grey.
